Event Summary

The festival will include up to 30 artists (demonstrations are encouraged but not required), live music, and delicious food and wine in a beautiful country backdrop of grapevines and cattails. Fun, laid back, cool and entertaining, the event draws an eclectic crowd from nearby cities in both Illinois and Indiana. You’ll find great art from funky to traditional, a broad variety of music, and wine! Admission and parking are free. We invite artists who work in broad range of art and craft media to apply.

The media categories are: Ceramics, Collage, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Wood, Other.

Please fill out and submit this form and then send 3 images of your art (with description) and 1 booth image to SleepyCreekArt@gmail.com. If you are applying in more than 1 category send 3 additional images for each additional category. If you and a friend want to share a booth we will need applications and images from both artists. Please note, BOTH artists must be juried in. Applications will be digitally reviewed by a panel of three jurors. Each application will be scored independently by each of the jurors, and each artist will be given a score from 1 – 5 based on quality, originality, craftsmanship, and overall booth display. The scores are tallied and reviewed and artists will be invited by consensus of the jurors.

We will have 1 jurying window for all artists this year. Applications received on or before May 1 will be notified between May 17 and May 31.

Booth fees must be paid within one week of invoice. Invoices will be sent after jury notifications on June 1, 2026.

May 1, 2026 - Last day for all artists to apply.

May 17 to 31, 2026 - Artists who submitted an application on or before May 1 will be notified of jury decision.

Artist Booth Fee:

OUTSIDE: 10 x 10, $75 (no electricity available)
PAVILION: 10 x 10, $125 (additional $10 fee for electricity) Limited to 20 spaces. The Pavilion is an enclosed building with electricity, a barn-like high ceiling, and a smooth concrete floor. Three walls have french doors that can open to allow breezes or close in case of inclement weather, and the east side leads to indoor restrooms. Pavilion spaces are limited to 20 and will be assigned in order of application date.

RULES

The Sleepy Creek Art & Music Fest is open to all artists 18 years of age and older.
All work must be original, handcrafted work. Artist guarantees the accuracy of the description of the works presented and the authenticity of the work as the creation of their own hands. Commercially manufactured items, import items, commercially cast jewelry, or works of art from molds and kits are not acceptable.
All sales will be conducted between the artist and purchaser. Artists are responsible for collecting and remitting 6.5% Illinois sales tax on all sales made at the Sleepy Creek Art & Music Fest.
Artists must be present to exhibit and manage their displays. Artists are limited to the booth space they were assigned. Booth spaces are non-transferable. Any artist who has not been juried into the Festival, or has not paid the booth fees, will not be allowed to exhibit.
Set up begins at noon on Friday, July 24 and 7 am on Saturday, July 25. Please have vehicles parked in the back lot on Friday, 7/24 by 4:30 pm and Saturday, 7/25 by 11:30 am. Festival hours are Friday, 7/24 (5-9 pm), and Saturday, 7/25 (noon to 7 pm). You may not drive in the (courtyard grassy area or concrete areas) to your booth space. Please make sure you have dollies or carts available to get loaded in/out to and from your vehicle.
Electricity is not available for outdoor booths, but will be available for the pavilion for an additional fee.
If accepted, you agree to the use of your images for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing.
Artists must furnish their own tents, displays, cash drawer change, and equipment. Please bring adequate weights or stakes to anchor your tent and artwork securely. Please note, security will not be provided. It is recommended that you remove valuables from your area before leaving.
Booth fees are nonrefundable and are due no later than one week from receipt.
