Aaron Short has been using the Champaign-Urbana music scene as an incubator, to continuously hone his skills both musically and creatively since 2010.  Adopting influences from some of the best songwriters in the world, he’s been working to build on the indie/folk, alternative country sound that is used in his primary project “The Bashful Youngens.”  His raw, unique vocals provide a transparency into the songs he’s written as well as the carefully selected covers that he’s made his own.   Aaron has traveled all over the Midwest and Southern states; performing in coffee shops, wineries and bars as well as at music festivals and theaters.
